Two new things on SpotEx: send crypto to any SpotEx user in seconds, and back your NBA teams with team tokens.
Transfers: send crypto to anyone on SpotEx
Paying a friend, splitting a bill or moving funds to your other half no longer needs a blockchain. Go to Wallet → Transfer, enter their username or email, pick a coin and an amount, add a note if you like, and send.
- Instant. It is in their balance the moment you confirm.
- Free. No fee, no network fee, no address to copy.
- You see who you are paying. Before anything is sent, we show the account you typed, so a typo is caught first.
- Both of you are told. You each get a notification and an email.
Get paid with your own QR code
The Transfer page has your personal pay link and QR code, with the SpotEx logo in the middle. Anyone on SpotEx can scan it with their phone camera to pay you. You can:
- Ask for a set amount: pick a coin, an amount and a note, and the code updates.
- Download it as an image to share, print or put on your counter.
Whoever scans it still sees every detail and confirms it themselves. Nothing is ever sent just by scanning.

Stay safe
- A transfer cannot be taken back once it arrives. Check the name shown before you confirm.
- SpotEx staff will never ask you to send them a transfer, and never to "verify" your account by sending funds. If anyone does, it is a scam: report it on a support ticket.
- Only send to people you know and trust.
Team markets: back your NBA teams
The NBA 2026–27 season is open. Every one of the 30 teams has its own token. Buy the teams you believe in. When a team's season ends, each token pays out by how far the team got:

Payouts are in USDT, a stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US dollar by Tether, so $10 here means 10 USDT. They are paid in full and automatically, minutes after a team's result is confirmed. There is nothing to claim.
How to buy
- Bid your price on a team in Buy team tokens. Your bid goes on the team's order book.
- New tokens are issued whenever the best bids across all the teams add up to enough. Each team shows the price that would get new tokens issued right now ("New tokens at"). Bid that, or closer to it, and yours fills sooner.
- Or buy from other holders on the team's own market.
- No trading fee when new tokens are issued to you. Trades between users pay the normal 1%.
Follow your teams
- Star your teams to keep them at the top of the page.
- See live scores, standings and recent form for every team.
- Sell any time on the team's market, right up until its result is in.
The money is already there
Everything a token can still pay is held in a separate pool that only pays token holders. It is part of our daily proof of reserves, anchored on the Peercoin blockchain, and the season page shows the pool against what is owed.
Things to keep in mind
- Most teams do not go deep in the postseason, and tokens of teams that miss it pay nothing.
- Prices move with demand, so selling early can return more or less than you paid.
- Only spend what you can afford to lose.
